EL Information for P&Cs

Appointing an Early Learning Parent Representative on the P&C committee gives a voice to preschool and kindy parents and carers who are often more highly engaged with their child's education.

Council encourages P&Cs to consider this role as the early years are a uniquely important stage in education for parents and children beginning preschool or kindy. Engaging early with families has dual benefits for the school-family partnership and community connections -particularly important and potentially enduring - for parents and children in the early years.

To help P&Cs recruit their early learning parent rep, we've created a customisable role description template and a Facebook promo or invitation to potential parent volunteers. Also, a valuable reference guide for parents of preschool and kindy aged children.

Council's Early Learning Officer can support your P&Cs EL activities. Learn more about what other P&C's are doing here '...at our P&C'
